DIVING INTO MAGIC
Exstasis surrounds its audience with images, music and light, creating an entirely virtual environment. For the duration of the show, it takes viewers beyond their physical surroundings and out of their everyday routines.
A narrative in which projections break the stillness of the church’s richly decorated interior, dissolving and animating stucco work and frescoes, and bringing the statues lining the nave to life through light and colour.

An experience of collective transcendence
Exstasis follows the five stages of the ecstatic journey outlined by Evelyn Underhill, a twentieth-century Catholic mystic: awakening, purification or asceticism, illumination, the dark night of the soul, and union.
An immersive experience that uses technology to bring people together and open up a sense of mystery and wonder, rather than isolating us or keeping us caught up in the demands of the moment.
