The 400° Festino of Santa Rosalia was a vibrant celebration of the city of Palermo’s tradition, history, spirituality, and beauty, attracting about 350 thousand spectators. It has won 2 awards at BEA 2024 World Festival
Rosalia pilgrim of Hope
A project in which Odd Agency worked in partnership with Balich Wonder Studio, one of the biggest event producers in the world. We have collaborated with local workers: artists, technicians, creatives, and show business professionals, who have put their knowledge and skills, their hands, and their tools at the service of the city of Palermo and what is its greatest intangible asset: the Santuzza.

It was a spectacular and unique celebration: in addition to the triumphal chariot, two others were added, which followed the monumental, allowing to raise in artistic performances and a better visibility of the show. Then, there was the lyric-pop trio “Il Volo” from the rooftop of the Cathedral, the children’s choir of Teatro Massimo of Palermo, and folkloristic groups from all over Sicily.
400° FESTINO OF SANTA ROSALIA
A journey from darkness to the light
The procession of the triumphal chariot has crossed the streets of the historical center of Palermo, from Palazzo dei Normanni to Porta Felice and, for the first time in Festino’s history, has completed 4 transformations.
The monumental chariot takes the form of a golden and luminous vessel. Rosalia is represented by an imposing statue nine meters high, holding a red rose surrounded by white lilies.
The chariot changes from stage to stage through a game of light, following the theme of the procession and unveiling to the public, symbolizing a journey from darkness to the light.
The celebration reached its highest point with the coronation of Santa Rosalia, which ended in a burst of joy and colors on the final stage.
