An immersive and, at the same time, narrative projection mapping between acting, music, and illustration. At the heart, the story starts from Greek mythology and addresses the relationship between humans and fire.

Phos – Io sono fuoco is a great immersive installation designed for the interior of the temple of Afrodite Urania at Segesta Archaeological Park. The projection mapping, combined with the starry nights of Segesta, creates a magical and unique atmosphere inside the Temple.

The performance features a blend of acting, music, immersive projection mapping, and illustration. At the heart of the concept is an original theatrical text by Dario Muratore. Personifying the Fire, Muratore invites the audience to reflect on its significance. The narrative, rooted in Greek mythology, explores the relationship between humans and fire, utilizing cutting-edge technology to create images that bloom from the columns, flames that caress without burning, and symbols of rebirth.

FIRE BECOMES STORY
When the balance between man and nature breaks, progress can turn destructive. This ancient virtuous relationship is reversed, and fire becomes a story that delves into myth to find its meaning. To exorcize the memory of the devastating fire of July 2023 that stopped just short of the Temple of Segesta but charred the Mediterranean scrubland of the archaeological park, an extraordinary cross-media spectacle has been created. This performance reverently treats the monument, enveloping it in images that bloom from the columns, flames that caress without harming, and symbols of rebirth.
The idea behind the concept was to enhance the site of the Temple of Segesta by transforming a destructive event into a project with a strong ethical message. Fire, if used correctly, gives life, but otherwise, it can destroy and become a tool of death and devastation. The immersive projection mapping at the Temple of Segesta, blending acting, music, and illustration, represents a work that finally heals the wound opened a year ago, showing how nature can awaken and be reborn.
